35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
The Administrative Assistant in the Student Services Office for Swansea Public Schools provides support to both the Special education and transportation departments. Key responsibilities include managing clerical tasks, maintaining records, coordinating communications, and assisting with scheduling and compliance-related documentation. This role also requires interaction with families, staff, and transportation providers to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant must be available to serve as a substitute van monitor as needed, ensuring the safety and supervision of students during transportation. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility are essential for this position. Increase in hourly rate compensation available for candidates willing to seek a 7D driver’s license and serve as a substitute van driver to cover absences, however, this is not required of this position. This position is not included in the Swansea Educators’ Association Bargaining Unit. This
