What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Consultant - Grades 3-6 position at Swanton Elementary School?
Swanton Elementary School is looking to fill a Behavior Consultant opening beginning immediately. This position will work within a behavior support team, primarily in grades 3-6, to respond to student behaviors, consult with teachers, families and administration, and support behavior staff.
Qualified candidates must be collaborative team members and have a passion for supporting the growth and development of children and staff. Candidates must be able to manage a caseload of students with targeted and intensive behavior needs as well as have experience coaching and consulting with classroom teachers and school staff on universal, targeted, and intensive level of behavior support.
The Behavior Consultant serves as a liaison between students, families, faculty and community providers. This position has a particular focus on building capacity to meet the social, emotional and behavioral needs of students at the universal, targeted and intensive level. Performs a variety of tasks to aid in the coordination of behavioral support services for students and to increase the efficacy of preventive and proactive interventions.
Individuals should possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in applied behavior analysis, psychology, education, or a related field. Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
