What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social-Emotional Learning Coordinator position at Swanton Elementary School?
Swanton School seeks a full-time Social-Emotional Learning Coordinator to begin immediately. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Coaching of professional and support staff on universal SEL, PBIS and behavior related strategies.
Collection, analysis and presentation of SEL and behavior related data including SWIS, SELweb, PBIS assessments and restraint and seclusion (Rule 4500).
In collaboration with the designated employee(s) and/or School Counselors, manage HHB complaints, investigations, determinations and communications, and along with administration, help determine outcomes.
Supervision and support of two planning rooms, including support staff.
Coordination of PBIS, including active participation in Universal Team meetings.
Collaboration with SEL-related teams including the school’s Clinical Team, Behavior Support Team, School Counselors, Psychologist, Behavior Consultants, etc., as needed.
Consultation with staff and teams for individual students, as needed and requested.
As part of a team, respond to the behavioral needs of students.
Create state-level reports related to restraint and seclusion.
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in education, psychology, ABA, or a related field, as well as certification in the district’s physical intervention approach (currently Handle with Care, training provided.) This is a school-year position with additional contracted days beyond the teacher contract. Applications accepted through Schoolspring only. Open until filled.
