Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance/Quality Management System Supervisor to oversee and manage our quality assurance programs and ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of our Quality Management System. The QA/QMS Supervisor will lead efforts to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality procedures, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead Quality Assurance Efforts: Supervise the QA and QC team to ensure that all products meet quality standards and specifications. Oversee daily activities to ensure consistent quality and testing procedures across all operations.
- Manage the QMS: Ensure that the Quality Management System is properly maintained, documented, and continually improved. Ensure compliance with customer, ISO, GMP, or other relevant standards.
- Internal and External Audits: Plan, coordinate, and lead internal audits, and support external audits. Ensure that non-conformities are addressed, and corrective actions are implemented.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance product testing, quality and operational efficiency.
- Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to team members on QA/QC and QMS processes, regulatory standards, and best practices.
- Compliance and Regulatory Standards: Ensure all products, processes, and documentation comply with relevant regulations, including ISO 9001, Federal and State DOT’s, and other applicable standards.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of quality control procedures, test results, and inspections. Prepare reports on quality performance to upper management and ensure documentation is up to date and accurate.
- Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with the procurement and supply chain teams to ensure suppliers meet the company’s quality standards. Perform supplier audits and evaluations as required.
- Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to prevent recurrence.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to3:30 p.m., with some overtime required or as instructed by your direct supervisor.
