Job Title: Welding Manager
Location: Swede Marine Manufacturing Facility, Grand Rapids, MI Work Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Compensation: $25/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Assembly: Manufacture and fabricate Tilt aluminum ladders and related products, by leveraging advanced welding techniques.
- Equipment Operation: Setup, operate, and troubleshoot laser equipment for optimal production performance.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure adherence to quality and design specifications.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with engineers to help refine design concepts and address production challenges.
- Inventory Management: Utilize ERP software to track inventory, monitor production progress, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Safety Standards: Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all safety protocols.
Performance Benchmarks
- Shop Readiness: Ensure complete shop setup within the first month.
- Production Goals: Achieve a daily average of 8.5 Tilt ladders completed over 60working days (February 1–April 30), with bi-weekly shipments of 85 ladders.Qualifications
- Proven expertise in MIG, TIG, and laser welding, with 3–5 years of hands-on experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of welding processes, tools, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Proficiency in using ERP software for tracking and reporting.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-pacedenvironment.
