About the Role
Swedencare North America is seeking a Manager/Director of Quality Assurance to develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive quality strategy across our vertically integrated companies in North America. This high-impact role requires a forward-thinking leader to ensure compliance, optimize quality processes, and support the company’s continued growth while mitigating risks.
As a key subject matter expert, you will drive quality initiatives, enhance operational efficiencies, and collaborate across multiple departments. This position offers high visibility within the organization and requires a dynamic leader with a strong analytical mindset, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This is a fully onsite position reporting to the Executive Vice President, Swedencare North America.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance strategies to standardize and enhance SOPs across finished goods brands in two Tampa, Florida, distribution centers.
- Lead initiatives to improve processes, ensure audit readiness, enhance reporting accuracy, and optimize operational costs.
- Define and track key quality KPIs to establish best-in-class processes and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, Procurement, and Customer Support teams to drive quality improvements.
- Enhance manufacturing timeline transparency and streamline communication with key stakeholders.
- Facilitate and lead cross-functional meetings to align quality goals and operational efficiencies.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis on business trends, providing data-driven insights to senior leadership.
- Develop and oversee SOP materials, training programs, and implementation plans to ensure quality readiness across teams.
- Partner with the Director of Warehouse Operations to maintain compliance, certifications, and proper storage practices.
- Review and validate product claims on finished goods labels, offering technical writing expertise as needed.
- Travel up to 10% as required.
What You Bring - Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Proven ability to take ownership and thrive in a fast-changing environment.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Expertise in Quality Assurance, FDA compliance, project management, and process improvement.
In-depth understanding of material management and manufacturing methods.
What You Bring - Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Master’s degree in a related field.
Lean Six Sigma Certification.
Experience in the pet industry.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly manage two coordinators and up to two managers.
