Responsibilities:
- Perform dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatments for patients
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences
- Administer anesthetics and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventative dental care
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays and CT scans
- Collaborate with dental specialists for complex cases
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license
- Proven experience as a dentist or in a similar role
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or Dentrix dental software systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and dental procedures
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems for dental restorations
- Ability to interpret medical imaging such as X-rays and CT scans
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient privacy
