Associate Pharmacy Technician - Providence St Peter Hospital - Olympia

$5,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS: 1.0 FTE (40 hrs per week) Full time - Evening shift and 0.5 FTE (20 hrs per week) Part time - Variable shift.

Performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose, IV and chemotherapeutic medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt, safe and accurate manner. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Sisters of Providence Mission and Philosophy.

Required qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician Level A training program certified by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy. Or equivalent educ/experience
• Upon hire: Washington Pharmacy Technician License
• Experience with telephone call prioritization.
• Experience with stressful/urgent need situations.
• 3 months Practical experience in a hospital pharmacy under the direct supervision of pharmacist.
• Experienced in IV admixture/aseptic techniques.

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year Hospital pharmacy experience.
