Description

The Behavioral Health Specialist is responsible for working within a healthcare team in providing direct patient care for patients with chronic mental illness and/or socioeconomic challenges. This individual works within the Patient Centered Medical Home Model in coordination with multiple PCPs and serves as a link to an identified population of patients. Through skilled assessment, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources, the Behavioral Health Specialist assists patients to gain self-efficacy/management skills, achieve optimum functional health status, and quality of life.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, or in a Human Services or Psychosocial Mental Health field.
  • Washington Marriage and Family Therapist License upon hire. Or
  • Washington Marriage and Family Therapist Temporary License upon hire. Or
  • Washington Mental Health Counselor License upon hire. Or
  • Washington Mental Health Counselor Temporary License upon hire. Or
  • Washington Mental Health Counselor Certificate upon hire. Or
  • Washington Counselor Certified Adviser Certification upon hire. Or
  • Washington Counselor Certified Certification upon hire. Or
  • Washington Advanced Social Worker License upon hire. Or
  • Washington Advanced Social Worker Temporary License upon hire. Or
  • Washington Clinical Independent Social Worker License upon hire. Or
  • Washington Clinical Independent Social Worker Temporary License upon hire. Or
  • Washington Social Worker Certificate upon hire. Or
  • Washington Behavioral Analyst License upon hire.
  • 2 years of Clinical behavioral health care experience.
  • Advanced clinical experience in behavioral health care including evaluation, diagnosis and intervention of psychiatric and substance use disorders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Psychology.
  • Experience with Child & Adolescent Mental Health.
  • Experience working in an integrated collaborative environment.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record.

Providence Physician Enterprise (PE) is a service line within Providence serving patients across seven states with quality, compassionate, coordinated care.
