Job Summary
The Stroke Care Program Coordinator RN is responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of stroke care programs across our healthcare system. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with hospital administrators, physicians, and other stakeholders to ensure successful program implementation.
- Coordinate the development and dissemination of stroke care policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with stroke care standards.
- Provide education and training to nursing staff on stroke care best practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
- At least 5 years of experience as a registered nurse, with a minimum of 2 years in emergency department or inpatient stroke care.
- Current Washington state RN license and BLS certification.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate.
