We are one of the fastest growing consumer-packaged goods (CPG) producers and ZYN is the number one selling nicotine pouch in the US. In order to continually promote and create innovative products that support our vision we are currently seeking Vendor Specialist for the Owensboro, KY Quality Assurance department.
Major Responsibilities Include :
- Performs vendor auditing both internal and external
- Sets up audit systems at vendor facilities to ensure non-standard raw materials are not shipped to Swedish Match with the objective of each vendor achieving Six Sigma defect / variation performance
- Schedules and conducts vendor meetings for review of performance, service and delivery
- Performs line studies of current, changed and new materials
- Places test orders with vendors and ensures accuracy of raw materials received
- Verifies vendor invoices for completeness and accuracy
- Performs quality audits for work in process and finished goods
- Initiates corrective actions, if appropriate
- Compile, analyze, summarize, and report information in a clear, concise, and efficient manner
- Produce reports and prepare as requested
- Works closely with Sales, Marketing and Merchandising to ensure customer satisfaction
- Works with customers to evaluate change requests and ensure execution of satisfactory changes
- Assists in ISO 9001 audits
- Directly interface with both internal customers and external vendors
- Performs materials testing, and completes material routers
- Delivers error-free work product, while operating in a fast-paced environment
- Recommends, initiates, and conducts special projects as requested
- Performs a variety of analytical tasks to support the quality function
Education : Associates degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience : Five or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience / training in OSHA requirements. GMP / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
Skills / Knowledge : Strong analytical and interpersonal skills required. Must be detail oriented organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic statistics and computer skills. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as in group settings. Minimal travel may be required.
