Client Accounting & Advisory Services Associate
This position is part of our Client Accounting & Advisory Services group, which provides outsourced accounting services for small and medium companies and family offices, with focus on professional services (engineering, architecture, construction services), dental and medical offices, law firms, tech companies and veterinary clinics. This is a full-time hourly role, with overtime generally limited to the month of January.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Monthly transactional accounting for accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Prepare and complete payroll, as well as quarterly and annual payroll tax reporting
- Prepare and complete state and city excise tax filings
- Anticipate client needs and respond timely and professionally to client emails/calls
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department managers
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year Bookkeeping experience
- BA/BS in accounting or related field
- CPA designation preferred, but not required
- Deep understanding of accounting principles
- Proficient in managing extensive sets of data with ease
- Proficiency in critically assessing and analyzing financial statements
- Strong skills using QuickBooks Online (QBO), Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to learn various software applications
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized and able to handle multiple tasks at once
- Experience using Bill.com, Paychex, and Expensify preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with Slack and Monday.com are preferred, but not required
Salary : $28 - $44
