What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Specialist position at Sweeney Merrigan Personal Injury Lawyers?
Sweeney Merrigan Law is growing, and we’re on the hunt for an intake specialist who can handle a high volume of calls, vet potential new clients, and manage the onboarding process for new clients.
Throughout this process, intake specialists must represent and uphold the values of Sweeney Merrigan, while also utilizing the team of attorneys to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
At Sweeney Merrigan, one of Boston’s leading personal injury law firms, we pride ourselves on giving our clients only the highest quality of service, care, and professionalism as we fight to get them the compensation they deserve. Our office is a low-ego environment where we seek to have one another’s backs and strive for excellence as a group.
To ensure success as an intake specialist, you should exhibit excellent communication skills and competency in helping people who are often going through one of the most painful and difficult experiences of their life. Compassion, respect, good listening, and empathy are the key people skills you’ll need. Outstanding intake specialists are polished professionals who create a positive first impression. We’re looking for the ideal team player: someone who is humble, hungry for success in their role, and exhibits “people smarts”. You’ll need to be friendly and outgoing, able to make an instant connection, but also assertive and aware of when a call needs to be forwarded or a conversation respectfully concluded.
In addition to people skills, you’ll need to be highly organized and detail oriented to keep track of all the client information in our system.
