Job Description
One of our clients is seeking a highly motivated AWS Cloud Engineer to lead cloud transformation efforts by migrating existing on-premises workloads to AWS while continuing to support on-premise infrastructure . This role will be crucial in ensuring a smooth and secure cloud migration , optimizing AWS cloud environments , and providing on-premises support as needed.
Candidates must work on-site a minimum of 3 days per week and be available for additional on-site days based on project requirements .
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Migration & Engineering
- Lead cloud migration efforts by assessing, planning, and executing the transition of on-premise workloads to AWS .
- Design and implement cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and more .
- Develop AWS migration strategies including rehosting, re-platforming, refactoring, and repurchasing .
- Utilize AWS migration tools and services (e.g., AWS Migration Service, AWS Database Migration Service, AWS Snowball ) to optimize the migration process.
- Monitor and secure cloud infrastructure , proactively identifying and mitigating security risks.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and performance of cloud-based applications.

Requirements
Experience gathering business requirements from internal and external stakeholders – 5 years Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint – 5 years Experience creating, managing, and tracing business and IT requirements – 5 years Ability to facilitate brainstorming sessions, lead discussions, and drive teams toward defined goals – 5 years Experience working in a PMO or managing multiple simultaneous projects – 5 years Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data and information and present findings clearly – 5 years Ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, and effectively multi-task – 5 years Experience generating project reports (status updates, dashboards, budgets, etc.) – 3 years Experience working on Agile project teams – 3 years Self-starter with an inquisitive nature and a problem-solving mindset – 5 years Experience working with Medicaid IT and / or Healthcare systems – 3 years PMP or other project management certification Additional Information Work Location : Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) – parking NOT provided.
