One of our clients is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator with expertise in Oracle 19c and higher multitenancy (CDB / PDB) Oracle Apex / ORDS administration OCI and database migrations . The selected candidate will be responsible for managing largescale cloud and onpremises Oracle environments optimizing database performance and implementing backup / recovery strategies .
This is a remote role but candidates must pick up their laptop in Richmond VA .
Key Responsibilities
- Database Management & Administration : Oversee Oracle 19c databases CDB / PDB multitenancy and backup / restore processes using RMAN and Data Guard .
- Cloud Migration & Automation : Support Oracle OCI & AWS RDS migrations Terraform scripting and cloud shell automation .
- Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting : Optimize database performance finetune SQL queries and implement TDE encryption .
- Backup & Recovery : Implement robust backup strategies using Oracle RMAN and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c Fleet Maintenance .
- Oracle Apex / ORDS & Middleware Administration : Manage Apex 19c Oracle ORDS WebLogic Tomcat and Fusion Middleware .
- OnCall Support & Security Compliance : Provide oncall production support for critical enterprisewide applications.
- Application & Web Server Configuration : Configure and manage Apache FOP for PDF generation Apache web tier and modpl / sql .
- Automation & Scripting : Develop complex shell scripts for scheduling and maintenance.
