Job Description
We are seeking a Business Data Analyst to review, assess, and enhance the reliability of multiple data source systems. The selected candidate will work with cross-functional divisions to identify threats to data validity and develop mitigation strategies that improve the reliability of data across the agency.
This role requires a candidate with strong analytical skills, experience with data warehouses, and proficiency in SQL, MS Excel, and Power Query. The Business Data Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to evaluate data sources, conduct risk assessments, and recommend solutions.
On-Site Requirement: 1 day per week (Must pick up equipment in person; Parking NOT provided).
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess multiple data source systems within the organization.
- Identify threats to data validity and reliability and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct source system table analysis, stakeholder interviews, and user shadowing to evaluate data flow and accuracy.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify inconsistencies and improvement opportunities.
- Document findings and develop clear, actionable recommendations for improving data reliability.
- Collaborate with divisions, including Developmental Services, Clinical & Quality Management, and Administration, to implement data integrity solutions.
- Track and report on the progress of mitigation actions.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Power Query, and SQL to perform data analysis and reporting.
- Communicate findings in clear, concise technical documentation for various stakeholders.
