About the RoleWe are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our in-house Rhode Island team. You will focus on curating and implementing materials, finishes, and soft furnishings that bring our clients’ visions to life. With an experienced Design Project Manager on staff to oversee selections organization, documentation, and coordination with our cabinetry department, your role will center on the creative aspects of interior design, ensuring that each home reflects a cohesive and luxurious aesthetic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material and Finish Selections: Collaborate with clients to select interior and exterior finishes, including appliances, plumbing & electrical fixtures, flooring, cabinetry, interior millwork, tile, countertops, hardware, paint, etc.
  • Soft Furnishings: Guide clients in selecting furniture, textiles, window treatments, and decor to complement the architectural style and project goals.
  • Client Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients to navigate design decisions while maintaining project timelines and budgets.
  • Aesthetic Consistency: Ensure a cohesive design vision across all aspects of the home, harmonizing materials, colors, and textures.
  • Vendor Coordination: Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source and procure high-quality selections, materials and furnishings.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits to confirm design implementation and provide guidance during construction phases as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with the Design Project Manager, cabinetry department, and construction team to seamlessly integrate design elements into the build process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
  • 5 years of professional experience in luxury residential interior design.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in material and finish selection, soft furnishings, and overall interior styling.
  • Exceptional communication and client relationship skills.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, or similar softwares.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft softwares such as Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
  • Ability to create and present mood boards to display a general aesthetic for client presentation
  • Knowledge of high-end finishes, furnishings, and design trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
