POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead Non-CDL Air Sweeper Driver is responsible for leading a team of drivers, ensuring they have the necessary tools, training, and information to complete their shifts successfully. In addition to supervising the team, the Lead will operate a Sweeper Truck at commercial shopping centers and retail locations. Duties include emptying trash cans, blowing off walkways, picking up large trash, and sweeping parking areas. The role requires navigating traffic, staying organized, logging accurate information, and being able to get in and out of the truck multiple times during the shift.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Lead and supervise a team of drivers, providing guidance, support, and ensuring they are equipped with necessary tools and information for their shifts.
Perform pre-inspection of the Air Sweeper Truck to ensure safety and proper operation before use.
Review and familiarize yourself with the scheduled shopping centers and parking garages assigned to your route.
Ask questions and clarify any unclear route details to ensure smooth operations.
Operate the Air Sweeper Truck to remove debris, trash, and other materials from parking lots and surrounding areas, according to customer specifications.
Safely travel to and from each scheduled stop, potentially completing up to 13 stops per night.
Maintain SCA’s Standard of Quality by ensuring high-quality work throughout the shift.
Track and document completed tasks and routes, ensuring accurate sweep validation per company procedures.
Oversee and assist with team members' completion of their assigned duties, providing feedback and support as needed.
Report any equipment malfunctions, near misses, or accidents to the Lead Driver or Supervisor immediately.
Refuel the truck at the end of the shift and ensure the truck is ready for the next use.
Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the success of the team and overall operations
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
A valid driver’s license is required.
CDL B license preferred but not required.
DOT Medical Card required. The DOT physical is paid for by the company for non-CDL holders.
Must pass pre-employment compliance requirements.
Ability to work in outdoor environments, including exposure to variable and adverse weather conditions.
Exposure to noise, vibrations, fumes, grease, oil, and chemicals.
Ability to perform physical work, including lifting 50 lbs., carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, walking, standing, and operating equipment for extended periods.
Requires good vision, including the ability to adjust focus, depth perception, and clear close and distant vision. Use of ear, eye, and other safety equipment is mandatory.
Regular use of hands to handle, operate, and control equipment, tools, and objects is required.
