Designer-Girls Apparel

Sweet Apparel is looking for a childrenswear merchandiser/designer experienced with girls 7-10.

Our ideal candidate will be a skilled merchandiser who feels comfortable working with a design team and developing trend-forward lines for customers such as Forever 21, Rue 21, Ross, TJX, Burlington, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create CADs for line items and customer presentations
• Create seasonal color boards
• Source and develop ideas for new product
• Research and analysis of competition and customer needs
• Create artwork specs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5-10 years of design experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design or Fashion Merchandising
• Knowledge of the wholesale industry
• Interest in current design and fashion trends
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Eager and willing to learn from peers and mentors
