Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating students on safe driving practices, traffic laws, and vehicle operation. The Driving Instructor will work with both new drivers and adults seeking to improve their driving skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom sessions to educate students on driving theory, traffic laws, and safety regulations.
- Provide practical driving instruction in various conditions to ensure students gain confidence and competence behind the wheel.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their driving skills.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment for all students.
- Develop lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, including adults returning for further education.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance evaluations.
- Communicate clearly with students regarding their strengths and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on state driving regulations and best practices in driver education.
Requirements
- Proven experience in classroom management and working with students of varying ages and backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential. Must be certified through TDLR
- Previous experience in adult education or teaching is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to drive safely under various conditions while instructing students.
- Patience and adaptability to meet the individual learning needs of each student.
