What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freelance Graphic Designer position at Sweet Fish?
We’re looking to add a stellar freelance designer to our team.
A great fit for the Sweet Fish Creative team will be a Graphic Designer responsible for designing assets for our clients. You will work with the team and clients to edit and produce video-first podcast content. As a graphic designer you’re responsible for working closely with media strategists, client coordinators, and our lead designer to create and present assets of high quality that perform on YouTube and social media platforms.

- Creativity and Artistic Vision: Your natural ability, artistic passion, and personal improvement results in an exceptional eye for assessing and creating design; proactively make product and service recommendations and improvements.
- Technical expertise: You have a deep understanding of design production and editing software. Including up-to-date knowledge of trends, generative ai, and major social platforms.
- Organization: You can easily manage multiple client design projects at the same time, and you communicate clearly when timelines may need to be adjusted or when you have questions about expectations. You take pride in meeting deadlines consistently.
- Collaboration: You function well in collaboration and enjoy working independently as well.
- Communication: You present work confidently to client and team, using broad design vocabulary with focus on ideal listener/buyer
Experience
- 5 years of experience as a graphic designer
- Extensive experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (Bonus points for Figma)
- Dynamic portfolio work: experience designing for a wide variety of clientele brand identities, with a thorough understanding of brand architectures
- Adapts easily to change and is a problem-solver
- Knowledge of marketing and business principles and acumen
- Bonus points if you have Marketing agency experience, copywriting skills.
