Dishwasher A.M. / P.M. (Full Time w/ Open Avail.)

SUMMARY:

This position involves daily maintenance of our dish room area in its entirety and the knowledge and ability to wash all dishes, glassware and silverware in a properly, consistently and timely manner for our guests. This position is a key role in the SGD service experience and will be focused on the following areas: dish washing, drying and polishing, food preparation, food safety and sanitation, product knowledge and overall guest experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Coordinate the daily operation of the dish room during scheduled hours, solidifying the guest experience

• Have all opening dish ware cleaned and fresh 3 compartment sink 10 minutes prior to open

• Complete any prep before start of service each day

• Consistently re-stock, and clean dish room areas in entirety

• Responsible for cleanliness of outside area behind SGD (i.e. cardboard, kegs organized, cleanliness and organization of linen cart, swept of cigarette butts and trash daily)

• Must be able to multitask - washing dishes while glasses drying, and keeping flow for service staff in dish

• Communicate all dish ware and glassware quality concerns and needs to supervisor on shift

• Track breakage from service staff and during operations in dish pit and communicate to supervisors on duty

• Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene and health and safety

• Comply with all health and safety regulations, local and state

• Wear an apron, pants, a hat and closed toe shoes at ALL times

• Test sanitizer solution using test strips provided daily

• Change water in 3 compartment sink a minimum of once per hour

• NEVER stick fingers into clean glassware or hold clean wares up to your body

• Properly date ALL food items with appropriate start and expiration date

• Thoroughly wash hands after handling of any raw protein and wash and sanitize area protein was in

• Complete weekly cleaning duties each day and meet expectations for AM/PM shift change

• Thoroughly complete the closing checklist in its entirety

• Take extreme care while handling glassware i.e. placing in appropriate rack before feeding through machine, while drying, when returning to bar
