SUMMARY
The Order Fulfillment & Logistics Specialist plays a critical role in fulfilling wholesale and distribution orders with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. This hands-on position is responsible for the complete order lifecycle, including processing, packing, shipping, inventory organization, and documentation. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to consistently meet standards for quality, accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND DUTIESOrder Fulfillment (60%)
- Pick, pack, and process outgoing orders
- Seal and label boxes for shipment
- Assemble pallets and load outgoing shipments safely and efficiently
Order Processing & Data Entry (20%)
- Print and manage daily order workflows
- Enter and update data in inventory software (Wherefour)
- Create bills of lading, shipping manifests, and complete required checklists
Inventory Management & Organization (10%)
- Conduct daily and weekly inventory counts
- Maintain organization of coolers, product storage, and materials
- Report discrepancies and assist in cycle counts
Plant Cleaning & Maintenance (10%)
- Clean tools, parts, floors, hallways, and walls
- Maintain cleanliness of coolers and loading dock area
- Support overall plant sanitation standards
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Perform additional cleaning tasks as assigned
- Assist other departments as needed
- Support inventory management of supplies, chemicals, and materials
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIESEducation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Certifications (Preferred)
- HACCP certification
- ServSafe certification
Computer Skills
- Proficient in data entry using computers or tablets
- Experience with inventory software is a plus
Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of safety practices in a production or food facility
- Ability to perform basic math calculations, including fractions and percentages
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Ability to multitask and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear
- Frequent use of hands and arms to operate equipment and handle materials
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, including repetitive lifting and twisting
- Requires visual acuity for close work and screen use
- Work involves exposure to both cold and warm environments
- May require extended hours, including evenings and weekends
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is primarily performed in a production and warehouse setting
- Exposure to varying temperatures due to refrigeration and heating equipment
- Moderate noise levels
- Regular movement between production areas, storage rooms, and coolers
