Responsibilities
- Be friendly. Lead a small, close-knit group of bakers through each day, delegating tasks to ensure production is timely and product meets consistent standards
- Record inventory and place orders through our local vendors to ensure necessary product is always in house
- Create production schedules and modify pastry counts with the changing of the seasons, per special events, and to match catering needs.
- Fluctuate seasonal items in and out while ensuring our basics are met through upkeep of our standard, year-round pastries
- Discuss baking needs and communicate to team upcoming catering orders: plan to modify schedule accordingly
- Track time cards and communicate with HR to ensure payroll is distributed orderly and on time
- Edit and track pastry FoH system to ensure benchmarks are met and reduce food waste for each day
- Report to weekly meetings to discuss changes and events happening at each location
Qualifications
- Computer literate: knowledge of Word, Excel, basic internet functions
- 5 Years minimum of previous experience working in a baking kitchen:
- Food safety managerial certified
- Someone who is team motivated, is eager to be helpful and do what’s right, while being humble, respectful, and working hard.
- Solution-oriented, Supportive, Remembers to smile
- Dependable, has a heart for the betterment of the product
- Strong Communicator
- Knowledgeable in baking methods, techniques, and ingredient uses and purposes.
- Eye for detail; Loves hand crafted, artisan work, and is driven to create showstopping pastries
- Math centered: Duplications of recipes, conversions, and skilled at mental math for adding/subtracting
- Experience leading a team in high volume production preferred
