We’re looking for a passionate team player with extensive craft cocktail knowledge and high volume experience who exemplifies our hospitality standards by delivering a high quality 360 experience with humor and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet Sweet Linda hospitality standards by providing prompt, warm service to all guests
  • Demonstrate mastery of cocktail program during service with speed and consistency
  • Ensure constant communication with staff, management and kitchen to anticipate guests needs and ensure efficient service
  • Organize orders, manage cash and credit card transactions. Demonstrate speed and accuracy when using the POS system during service
  • Support daily batches and prep as needed to ensure successful service for all bartenders
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of bar area and equipment
  • Communicate with Head Bartender to ensure all guests needs are met and team is set up for success before, during and after service
  • Be aware of service flow, dining timing, and adjust for each guest’s individual needs
  • Manage bar guests with the utmost attention to detail
  • Properly carry out restaurant standards, procedures and uphold policies
  • Attend monthly spirits and service training and/or bar meetings
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Department of Health (DOH) standards and act as part of front of house team to maintain space and service stations accordingly
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all menu items offered in the restaurant, including basic ingredients, allergens, techniques, etc.

Key Requirements

  • 2 years experience as a bartender at a New York fine dining restaurant or high volume craft cocktail bar with a track record of providing excellent customer service
  • Strong spirits knowledge and craft cocktail experience
  • Valid Food Handler’s Certification
  • Experience with Resy Toast strongly preferred
  • Understanding of basic financial principles and the ability to analyze sales data
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability and creative problem solving in a constantly evolving environment
  • Passion for hospitality and collaboration
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve guest conflict
  • Ability to receive feedback in a positive manner and implement necessary changes
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and results driven
  • Flexible late night, weekend and holiday availability per needs of the business

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position include standing and working for long periods of time and frequent movement during work hours. The employee must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, kneel and reach above shoulder level. The physical demands described here are required to perform the essential functions of the position. The duties of this position may change from time to time.
