We are looking for a reliable and professional Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patrons and staff. Your presence will deter misconduct, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and respond to any incidents swiftly and effectively. This position is ideal for individuals with strong observational skills and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol: Monitor and patrol the premises regularly, including the entrance, dining areas, bar, restrooms, and parking lot, to ensure the safety of patrons and staff.
- Crowd Management: Monitor crowd behavior, especially during peak hours, to prevent disturbances or conflicts. Manage any situations where guests may become unruly, ensuring minimal disruption to the environment.
- Incident Response: Act promptly in the event of emergencies such as fights, medical emergencies, or security threats. Coordinate with local authorities when necessary.
- Access Control: Check IDs at the door to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol consumption. Prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing restricted areas.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including fire evacuation procedures and emergency exits. Report any hazards or safety concerns to management.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor, answering questions, and assisting guests as needed.
- Surveillance: Use security cameras and other surveillance tools to monitor for suspicious activity or breaches of conduct.
- Report Writing: Maintain accurate records of incidents, guest interactions, and security-related issues to report to management or law enforcement when necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with restaurant management and other staff to maintain a safe environment for everyone.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a similar role preferred, but not required.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Strong observational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to de-escalate situations diplomatically.
- Physically able to stand or walk for long periods of time and respond quickly to incidents.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in security or law enforcement a plus.
- Must pass a background check.
