Sweet Pie Ventures is a small business in Paterson, NJ. We are professional, innovative, and rewarding company specialized in manufacturing and distributing primarily single-serve pies (e.g., sweet potato, apple, and pecan) for food service distribution.
Our company needs hardworking individuals who can work both independently and as a member of a team. The successful applicant for this position will be motivated and dependable and must be able to work well with minimal supervision. Our Production Workers play a crucial role in keeping our production running smoothly, so we are looking for applicants with some baking experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare, portion and cook large quantities of sweet potato, apple, and pecan pies from recipes and instructions under general supervision.
- Measure and batch ingredients; mix, mold, knead, roll, and weigh.
- Clean working area, production utensils and production equipment to include ovens, cabinets, and blenders; follow appropriate sanitary procedures while cooking and cleaning.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as mixers, ovens, scales, and other food service equipment.
- Count, wrap, stack, label and store products; load products on trays and trucks to be delivered.
Qualifications
- Must be proficient in speaking English
- Previous baking experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive motion.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions and mix measure and interpret recipes.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and reach for extended periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.13 - $16.13 per hour
