What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant/Technician position at Sweet River Equine Clinic?
We are seeking a veterinary assistant/technician with at least 1 year of clinic experience as a veterinary assistant or registered veterinary technician and horse experience, who is compassionate and hard working. Responsibilities may include: Preparing and administering medications for in-patient's, preparing and maintaining stock in each veterinarians truck, occasionally assisting a veterinarian on an emergency call after hours, processing various blood work in house, analyzing fecal samples and preparing lab samples for shipment to an outside lab, rotating stock in pharmacy and making note of expired/expiring medications and medication that needs to be ordered, horse handling including but not limited to: restraining horses for various procedures, jogging, lunging, bandaging, surgical preparation, as well as setup and assisting with radiographs and ultrasonography.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
