Our Sales Associates/Tanning Consultants are responsible for maintaining a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. This position is responsible for assisting customers in a professional manner with purchasing merchandise, operating register, organizing, restocking, and recovering merchandise, cleaning the store, and performing other duties as assigned by the manager to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.
Tanning consultant duties include educating clients on tanning lotions, tanning packages, and assist with customer’s tanning needs. Consultants ensure rooms are exceptionally clean and maintain salon during shift. Staff is responsible for preparing tanning rooms (Cleaning) after each tanner. Detail cleaning of the salon each shift including walls, floors, tanning equipment, bathrooms, vacuuming, and washing/drying and folding towels.
Applicants must be dependable, enjoy working with people, quick learner, multi-tasker, outgoing, friendly, well groomed and like being physically active and their feet with lots of walking, bending, stooping, cleaning. Must be self-motivated, dependable and able to work as a team or by yourself.

DUTIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provide superior customer service; greet and assist customers.
- Operate register and scanner to itemize and total customer’s purchase, collect payment from customers and make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers with purchase, as necessary.
- Steam new inventory when needed
- Changing out displays and mannequins
- Will be responsible for keeping store front clean and welcoming.
- Responsible for organizing racks to maintain size order and neatness.
- Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restroom.
- Open and close the store under specific direction of the Store Manager.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Manager.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills

- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Ability to perform register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices

- Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.

WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequent movement, bending, kneeling, walking, and standing.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment such as handheld scanners, pricing guns, and box cutters.
- Frequent and proper lifting of up to 25 pounds
- Occasional climbing (using step ladder) up to heights of four feet
