Cake Decorator
Sweet Treets Bakery is a local custom bakery focused on delighting our customers with artisanal, beautiful, and high-quality cake and desserts with a main focus of the business being custom decorated cakes, prestige custom wedding cakes, and other "treets". We are a 10 -year-old business looking to build upon the distinguished offerings of this esteemed bakery. To do this, Sweet Treets needs the best-in-the-business team!
Want to learn from some of the best decorators in the business? We are looking for a part-time talented cake decorator (cookie decorating is a plus!) to join our team!
Qualified Candidates will:
- have worked at least one year in high volume production and/or custom cake bakery (preferred)
- be skilled in hands-on production in wedding cakes, specialty cakes, and cookie decorating.
- have STRONG communication skills and attention to detail.
- have a positive and fun attitude
- be coachable and have a desire to learn new skills and techniques
- must have good time management skills and the ability to multi-task with a calm demeanor
- follow directions, establish procedures, and prioritize tasks
- visually examine products for quality and specifications
- be skilled at piping, crumb coating, icing, and working with fondant, buttercream and royal icing quickly
- have flexibility in scheduling, and working weekends. Typical schedule would be Tuesday-Saturday starting anywhere between 7am-10am.
- have the ability to physically carry large multi-tier cakes with extreme care. Comfortably carry 30-50 lbs alone.
- assist with wedding deliveries
- obtain Food Handler’s Certificate (required of all staff within 30 days of hiring)

Compensation is competitive and will be based on experience (starting at $18) TIPS. We offer employee discounts, AFLAC (Health Benefit Support & Dental), accrued Paid Time Off for full-time employees.
Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation is $18.00 - $20.00/hour.
