A leading cannabis company in Montana is hiring a new budtender!
Please Note: You must have a Montana Medical Marijuana Program Agent License and Badge to work for the company. This can be done at: https://tap.dor.mt.gov/_/ (for new or renewing past license). The company will reimburse the cost of the Montana Medical Marijuana Program Agent License.
Schedule: Some weekdays, mostly weekends
Rate of Pay: $18 /hour plus tips!

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a hard- working, knowledgeable & experienced team members to provide excellent customer service while helping clients select suitable cannabis products to fit their cannabis needs.
As a budtender, you will be the face of our dispensary, assisting customers in finding the products that best meet their needs while providing a friendly and educational experience. A strong knowledge of cannabis products, and outstanding customer service skills, and an upbeat attitude are essential for this role. Budtenders should keep informed of developments in cannabis laws and understand how to stay compliant with them.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Greet and assist customers with a welcoming and positive attitude.
- Informing the manager of customer complaints or operational issues
- Sharing personal experiences of our cannabis products to aid in addressing customer questions & concerns.
- Educate customers on cannabis strains, terpenes, products, safe consumption methods, and dosage recommendations.
- Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using the company point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Ensuring that the dispensary is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
- Correctly weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products in accordance of state law.
- Checking patient medical documents & identification to ensure they are a currently registered patient.
- Assist in inventory management and auditing.
- Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
Qualifications:
- 18 years or older
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or a similar customer service role.
- Sound knowledge on cannabis strains & their benefits.
- High school diploma/GED
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow Company policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work & stand for extended periods of time as well as do some heavy lifting (at least 50 lbs.)
- Ability to work a varied schedule; weekends & holidays as needed.
- A valid Montana Medical Marijuana Program Agent License and Badge
- Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
Physical Demands:
- The position must occasionally lift, push, pull and /or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, this position is occasionally required to sit and regularly use hand(s) to handle, grasp, feel, and or touch. This position is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Able to stand/walk for up to 8-12 hours.
Job Type:
Part-time with the potential for full-time status based on needs.
Weekly day range:
- Weekend availability
- Shifts: Friday - Sunday and some weekday evenings as needed.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Whitefish, MT: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
