Ranch Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Ranch Manager (Individual or Couple) to oversee the daily operations of our ranch. The ideal candidate(s) will possess a strong background in animal husbandry (cattle, horse, goat, poultry), farm management, and equipment operation and maintenance. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing livestock, ranch facilities, equipment and vehicles while ensuring the highest standards of care and productivity. On-ranch housing and utilities are provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the ranch, including livestock care, and maintenance of facilities.
• Oversee feeding schedules, health checks, and breeding programs.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Utilize power tools for various tasks related to ranch upkeep and improvements.
• Implement regenerative agriculture practices for fields to maximize cover, food and water for game birds.
• Maintain accurate records in ranch provided ERP system.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in ranch management.
• Supervise staff and provide training as required
• Perform heavy lifting as required for various ranch tasks.

Experience

• Proven experience in ranch management or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and heavy equipment operation.
• Familiarity with basic math skills for record keeping and inventory management.
• Experience in animal husbandry practices is essential.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• A background in upland hunting/habitat management is a plus.

Pay: From $72,000.00 per year
