We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. Duties
- Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote early childhood development.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive learning environment and addressing behavioral issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with lead teachers to develop curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements.
- Provide care for toddlers in daycare settings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Facilitate small group instruction in subjects such as math, promoting foundational skills and concepts.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and communicating findings to lead teachers.
- Engage with parents and guardians to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood development.
Requirements
- A background in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
- Experience or coursework in special education is a plus.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and lesson planning strategies.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children are essential qualities for success in this role.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
