The Impact:
Sweetspot, a growing leader in cannabis retail, is seeking an Event Marketing Coordinator to help elevate our brand presence through localized, high-impact marketing initiatives. This full-time role is ideal for someone passionate about community engagement and experienced in the cannabis industry
The Role:
- Plan and execute in-store customer appreciation events, featuring non-cannabis vendors, entertainment, and giveaways
- Coordinate off-site pop-up activations and represent Sweetspot at local events and sponsorships
- Develop and maintain local community partnerships to build awareness and visibility in the Rhode Island market
- Support ongoing retail marketing initiatives to drive customer awareness, engagement, and retention
- Assist in maintaining in-store visual merchandising
- Maintain the organization of physical marketing goods
Qualities We Value:
- 1 year of cannabis industry experience (required)
- Located within a commutable distance to Exeter, Rhode Island
- Access to a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
What You Bring:
- Proficiency in Canva for design tasks.
- Strong command of PowerPoint for creating impactful presentations.
- Proficiency in Excel for accurate data entry and insightful analysis.
- Prior experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.

The salary range for the role is $45,000 - $55,000 USD.
