Sweetwater Property Management is a Professional Multi-Family Property Management Company. We are looking to hire an Experienced Professional Painter to join our team! This is a Full-Time position with operation hours, Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. SWPM offers health insurance coverage, paid time off, paid holidays, and more. The ideal candidate will be an experienced painter, with the necessary tools and equipment needed to complete the assignments. APPLY TODAY! The new hire will be responsible for painting vacant apartments, exterior buildings and other areas at Williamsburg Apartments located in Jacksonville, NC. Reliable transportation is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures, etc.
- Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, etc.
- Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster).
- Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
- Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
- Apply varnish and other finishes.
- Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.
- Must have your own transportation (REQUIRED).
Skills:
- Proven experience as a painter (You will be given a quick test to show your skills).
- Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them.
- Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, etc.).
- Ability to climb ladders and work with heights etc.
- Great attention to detail.
