What are the responsibilities and job description for the Academy of Music and Technology Coordinator position at Sweetwater Sound?
Sweetwater, the nation’s #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and music instruments is seeking to hire an Academy Coordinator to add to our growing Academy team. The Academy Coordinator is primarily responsible for all communication with our current and future customers via phone, email, and in person. They will be responsible for payment collection, lesson scheduling, and acquiring new students. With performance events and camps throughout the year, the Academy Coordinators assist the Director in planning and executing these events. The Academy Coordinator is also responsible for communicating with instructors regarding their students and schedule.
This is a full-time role requiring evenings and weekends:
Monday: 12:00pm-9:00pm
Tuesday: 12:00pm-9:00pm
Wednesday: 12:00pm-9:00pm
Thursday: Off
Friday: Off
Saturday: 8:00am-4:00pm
Sunday: 11:00am-5:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Communicating with all current and future students regarding scheduling, billing, events, and Academy policies via phone, email, and in person.
- Processing payments/payment collection
- Assisting with event planning, coordination, and execution
- Interacting with instructors and coordinating instructor schedules
Qualifications:
- A strong background in retail or customer service
- An impeccable attention to detail
- The ability to multi-task in an incredibly fast-paced environment
- A friendly, outgoing personality
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- A background in music education and knowledge of the product Sweetwater offers is a HUGE plus
