Sweetwater, the nation's #1 online retailer of musical instruments and pro audio gear, is seeking an experienced Marketing Copywriter to join the Marketing team as a Creative Copywriter. As a pivotal marketing team member, you will craft narratives that resonate with a diverse and creative audience of musicians and audio professionals. You’ll engage in a broad spectrum of marketing initiatives, from email campaigns to social promotions and giveaways, crafting content for landing pages, display ads, online sales, local events, and scripts for video and radio. Collaborating with our talented team of writers, designers, and marketers, you'll bring the Sweetwater story to life, enhancing our brand's authenticity and deepening customer engagement with each word you write.
You must have expertise in copywriting for retail or in a marketing / creative agency environment. A musician's knowledge of gear and pro audio will be an important component in this role. We expect a strong portfolio demonstrating your capacity to produce work that effectively engages and converts. Please be prepared to showcase various writing samples, reflecting your versatility and ability to capture and convey complex ideas in ways that excite and inform.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for working closely with our Creative and Marketing teams to brainstorm and produce content that captures the essence of our brand, driving engagement across various platforms.
- Craft Compelling Copy : Condense complex ideas into clear, compelling content. Take the lead in creating punchy, on-brand copy for promotions, landing pages, emails, display ads, and more.
- You will write engaging, scroll-stopping text that captures eyes and minds and, commands attention, encourages interaction, and strengthens our connection with the audience, enhancing our brand's narrative and deepening customer engagement / conversion.
- Interpret creative direction and technical information and turn them into persuasive copy concepts. Use your creativity to convert abstract ideas into persuasive narratives that clearly communicate the value of our products and services.
- Suggest and co-create marketing funnels, ideate sales funnels and conversion paths across product.
- Diligently edit and proofread your work, upholding our commitment to excellence and ensuring every piece of content is impactful and error-free from the first draft.
- Manage time, tasks, projects, priorities, and deadlines with tactical precision.
- Lead projects from conception to launch, collaborating effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive and successful outcome.
- Partner with Brand, Marketing, and PR to brainstorm and develop innovative marketing materials. Drive the creative process to ensure our campaigns are fresh, exciting, and strategically aligned with our brand goals.
