The ideal candidate will handle indirect spend, with a focus on transactional procurement. The role involves managing everyday purchasing activities through Workday, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness in operations like IT, office supplies, and maintenance services.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the processing of purchase orders, requisitions, and coding within Workday.
- Ensure timely procurement to meet operational needs, minimizing delays.
- Execute procurement transactions for indirect spend categories.
- Maintain accuracy in data entry and document management within Workday.
- Implement strategies to optimize indirect spend through bulk purchasing or contract terms when feasible.
- Monitor expenditures to stay within budget constraints.
- Adhere to internal procurement policies and external legal requirements.
- Ensure all transactions are documented and auditable.
- Handle basic supplier inquiries and manage straightforward supplier communications.
- Assist in resolving delivery or billing discrepancies.
- Generate regular reports on procurement metrics, spend analysis, and potential savings using Workday tools.
- Assist in forecasting procurement needs based on historical data.
