Housekeeper/Laundry/Front Desk

Job Summary
We are a beach motel seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry/Front desk professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and common areas, as well as managing laundry services, and learning the front desk. Your commitment to providing exceptional service will contribute to a positive experience for our guests and fellow employees. Position to start by March 2025 and we offer employee housing to qualified applicants which is dependant on their continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
• Talk with guests and help them with their needs
• Launder linens, towels, and other items using appropriate washing and drying techniques.
• Inspect rooms after cleaning to ensure they meet quality standards before guests check-in.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management promptly.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and laundry products; notify management when supplies are low.
• Follow established procedures for handling lost and found items.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing all tasks.
• Answer the motel phone in a professional manner, book rooms and check guests in and out.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry services within a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of laundering techniques is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Computer knowledge is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• On call
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Laundry: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

• English (Required)
