We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team and grow their career.
Summary:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing tasks necessary to support the daily accounting function, financial period close and related analysis. This results oriented individual will report directly to the Controller and partner with multiple cross-functional team members. The Staff Accountant will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, including Journal Entries, Fixed Assets, vendor payments, year-end Accounts Payable reporting, and managing account reconciliations.

Essential Job Duties:
Analyze accounts and post general journal entries.
Establish recurring entries to be posted each period.
Perform period analysis of assets to capitalize.
Track and reconcile Third Party Delivery transactions weekly.
Analyze P&L activity and recommend accruals at period end.
Analyze prepaid expenses and accrued liabilities on a period basis.
Reconcile and maintain Company credit card account.
Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
Assist in the preparation of audit work papers necessary for year-end review.
Any other tasks to be assigned by Controller.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
3 years of experience in accounting.
Previous hospitality experience a plus
Must be highly proficient in the use of computers and software, including but not limited to, Microsoft Excel.
Working knowledge of Compeat Advantage software a plus.
The ability to focus and show excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple properties in a deadline driven environment.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to interact positively and effectively with all levels of members within the organization.
Must demonstrate the ability to analyze processes and focus on continuous improvements to gain efficiencies necessary for our growing business.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended time to complete tasks related to responsibilities.
Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally and listen attentively to team members, guests, vendors, and visitors
Ability to give appropriate notice for any need to deviate from one's assigned responsibilities and/or schedule due to time sensitive nature of the position
