Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Business Development/Outside Sales Rep to join our growing team. As a key player in our sales department, you will be responsible for traveling throughout Wyoming and neighboring states to build strong relationships with contractors, builders, and key decision-makers. This role is a 50/50 blend of retail material sales and business development, with a focus on growing our customer bade and uncovering opportunities for larger commercial, municipal, and industrial fencing projects.
Responsibilities:
- Travel across Wyoming and neighboring states to establish new retail clients, and develop relations with contractors and other potential partners.
- Present SWi's fencing materials and product offerings with professionalism and product knowledge.
- Identify new business opportunities and general leads by networking with industry professionals and attending trade shows, expos, and other strategic events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
- Serve as a brand ambassador to increase awareness and drive traffic to SWi's retail locations.
- Provide tailored product solutions and recommendations based on customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless sales, quoting, and logistics processes.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and evolving fencing technologies.
- Meet monthly and annual sales targets and contribute to the company's overall growth strategy.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in construction, fencing, or building materials.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Professional, positive attitude with high level of customer service.
- Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and travel frequently.
- Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of fencing materials and construction processes preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident and assertive with strong interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license required
- Clean driving record.
- Company vehicle will be provided for travel.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $60,000-$80,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
- Commission: 1-3% commission on gross profit form retail material sales.
- Business Development Bonus: $500-$1,000 per large project secured through your direct efforts on referral.
