No prior automotive industry experience is required to apply! We are seeking individuals with various industry backgrounds.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of HR services, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee relations
- Provide recruiting assistance and candidate screening and assessment
- Work towards improving company policies and procedures
- Handle termination-related matters and prepare termination and severance letters
- Provide training and support to other members of the human resources department
- Be well-versed in laws and regulations regarding hiring and firing
- Consults with managers and supervisors regarding employee discipline and performance issues. Investigates workplace situations, including claims of harassment, discrimination, and policy violations. Supports decision making related to terminations and other forms of discipline. Ensures that corrective employee coaching and counseling are handled in a fair and consistent manner.
- Provides support to HR team by interacting and communicating with Managers and employees in the dealers, visiting break rooms and offices to promote positive relations and seek out potential issues.
- Supports the process involved in reviewing performance reviews, employee counseling, and performance plans. Ensures that any written communication directed to employees is legal, fair, consistent, in line with company values, and follows the progressive discipline policy. Provides input and drives dialogue regarding employee reasonable accommodation requests / decisions.
- Manages & monitors annual HR processes and special project initiatives including HR meetings & presentations, work authorization expirations, No Pay Report follow-up, Average Hours report, job descriptions, talent review, and additional initiatives.
- Provides advice and consultation for front-line hourly employee regarding benefits, payroll questions, policy interpretations, and EAP issues. Provides direction for internal transfer and career path direction including on-boarding plans, Intern programs, supervisor offers, and related follow-up paperwork
- Performs other duties as assigned.
