As a Parts Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of automotive parts within our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving incoming shipments, verifying inventory, and preparing outgoing shipments for delivery to customers.
Responsibilities
Receiving:
- Unload incoming shipments of automotive parts.
- Verify the quantity and condition of received items against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect for damages and report any discrepancies.
- Accurately record incoming shipments in the inventory system.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to customer orders.
- Generate shipping labels and packing slips.
- Load outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles or schedule carrier pickups.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by performing regular cycle counts.
- Organize and maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse, or logistics preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license
- Forklift certification (preferred).
- Proficiency in computer systems and inventory software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, lifting, and carrying.
- Repetitive motions, such as lifting boxes and scanning items.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
