Job Overview:
Swift Kennedy, a premier provider of group employee benefits solutions, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Account Manager to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for managing and nurturing client relationships, providing exceptional service, and ensuring the smooth implementation and ongoing administration of employee benefits plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee benefits and insurance, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring their employee benefits programs meet their business needs and objectives.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of client accounts, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and other group benefits programs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on benefits design, plan administration, and compliance.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their benefits needs, recommend customized solutions, and assist with plan design and enrollment.
- Coordinate the renewal process, ensuring timely delivery of renewal proposals, supporting materials, and plan adjustments.
- Review and explain insurance policies and plan options to clients, helping them make informed decisions.
- Act as the liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to ensure the smooth administration of plans.
- Provide ongoing education to clients regarding changes in benefits offerings, regulations, and best practices.
- Monitor client claims and utilization, addressing any concerns or discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct quarterly or annual review meetings with clients to discuss their benefits programs and recommend adjustments to improve employee satisfaction or cost efficiency.
- Ensure that all client communications are well-organized and clear, meeting both client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Manage billing inquiries, coordinate payments, and resolve any issues that arise with the finance team.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, benefits regulations, and the latest insurance products to provide clients with the most relevant and effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in account management or client services within the employee benefits or insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of group health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, and related employee benefits products.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA), ERISA, and HIPAA.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Exceptional problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and benefits management platforms.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Insurance licenses (e.g., Health, Life) required.
