Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics using various CAD software. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers to bring concepts to life.
CAD Designer will be responsible for multiple tasks. Designer main responsibility, when required, is to oversee assigned first-time products being manufactured, will undertake assignment from project development to prototyping and be the keeper of design specification by the customer will set a time line for product completion and research new products required for sign-ageres, with the assistance of the CAD software available. Responsible for completing any additional assignment requested by the Director of Engineering such as product testing, written reports, product research, in conjunction with an outside engineering firm, will develop structural designs for high wind load signs and concrete footing requirements, needs to provide customer service with engineering wet stamps, footing detail drawing in accordance with city ordinance when requested.
Duties
- Direct manufacturing of prototypes
- Establish Customer specification file and prototype manufacturing information.
- Research new product technology to incorporate in Signage.
- Provide Structural Designs and footing. Provide Stamps Engineering Drawing when requested.
- Provide Weekly reports of “on-hold jobs, late jobs, status report” for manufacturing meeting.
- Create day-to-day shop drawings for manufacturing custom signage. Create and detail drawings for standard high-volume products and prototypes.
Experience
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- 1 Year of Manual Drafting Experience. (This may include School Training)
- 2-5 years’ experience using Drafting Software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Inventor, MicroStation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process and structural designs
- Good written and communication skills, Bilingual a plus, not required.
- Knowledge of MS Office programs
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs or more.
- Ability to sit still for a long period of time required to be truly productive.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
