Essential Duties And Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned
You will be troubleshooting machinery such as Formax, Alkar, Multivac, Flexvac, and Slicer equipment. We will train if you have a background in:
- Boiler,
- Refrigeration,
- Electrical,
- Schematic Reading,
- Multi-meters,
- Hydraulics,
- Pneumatic troubleshooting
Responsibilities:
- Monitor all production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery.
- Complete assigned work orders.
- Adhere to Safety Procedures including, but limited to Lock Out Tag Out, Power Industrial Truck, Scissor Lift, Harness/Fall Protection, etc
- Adjust, repair and replace electrical and electronic equipment.
- Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance.
- Complete required paperwork.
- Completes assigned responsibilities and oversees the mechanical work of equipment.
- Responsible for correcting or facilitating correctable measures when downtime results from mechanical or technical defects.
- Processes maintenance downtime report for corporate and plant management. Assigns work orders or special projects to maintenance employees.
- Maintains department budget within specified guidelines.
- Conducts pre-operational inspection and handles maintenance concerns of Production Supervisors to make sure operation begins as scheduled.
- Work 40 hours per week in all areas of the plant.

Skills and Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
- Ability to perform general mathematical calculations.
- Mechanical inclination and knowledge of job specifications.
- Goal oriented and possess root cause analysis skills.
- Previous hourly maintenance and supervisor experience preferred.
- Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and practices used in the building, mechanical and electrical trades.
- Technical schooling with mechanical or electrical emphasis helpful.
- Industrial construction experience beneficial.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, etc.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle/feel items, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear.
- Plant setting: the plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold (non-weather related), and working near moving mechanical parts
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
