Swift Recon is looking to add an experienced Auto Body Technician with at least 10 years of experience to join the team. We offer state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, competitive pay, benefits, weekends off, and much more.
Position Summary
At Swift Recon, the technician will serve as a team lead, providing guidance and support to fellow body shop technicians and helpers while actively performing body repairs.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Closely collaborates with the Production Manager in receiving assignments, coordinating teamwork duties, motivating the team, and actively contributing to daily production goals.
- Maintains an open line of communication with the production manager expressing any changes in the repair plan.
- Completes disassembly of the vehicle to assist the estimators in assessing damage to prepare a 100% repair plan.
- Ensures all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
- Carries out work according to the instructions specified in repair orders.
- Works closely with the assigned body team to ensure projects are completed promptly.
- Acts as a mentor, utilizing their earned experience to guide and teach technicians to enhance work atmosphere and production.
- Demonstrates strong time management skills and effectively leads the team to meet project deadlines.
- Adheres to all regulatory compliance guidelines for hazardous waste disposal.
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn and acquire new techniques.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and orderly work area.
Position Requirements
- 10 years minimum professional collision repair experience required
- Ability to demonstrate and properly complete light to heavy repairs
- Deliver high-quality work
- I-CAR Certifications are a bonus
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Multitasking adapts easily to a fast-paced environment.
