We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move products throughout the warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
2nd Shift- 3:15 pm a 11.45 pm
Duties
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials and products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving processes.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area to comply with OSHA regulations.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper mechanical functioning.
- Assist in building pallets for shipping and preparing orders for distribution.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge of warehouse equipment is a plus, including cranes and various forklifts.
- Understanding of safety standards and regulations related to warehouse operations, particularly OSHA guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual productivity.
