Job Title: Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel Contract)
Location: Carbondale, IL
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Four 10-hour shifts, rotating days off)
Call Requirements: One weekday per week and one weekend every 4 weeks

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in the Cardiac Cath Lab at a leading healthcare facility in Carbondale, IL. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing a variety of cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate will have more than two years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab and be comfortable working in a team-oriented, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer moderate sedation and ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Monitor patients throughout the cath lab procedures, including heart and peripheral interventions, to ensure stability and comfort.
• Assist with the preparation, setup, and breakdown of procedures, including equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform and assist with various invasive procedures, including Left Heart Cath, Right Heart Cath, peripheral interventions, carotid stents, Aortic Aneurysm Repairs (AAAs), Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), and device implants.
• Participate in rotating call schedule, including one weekday per week and one weekend every 4 weeks.
• Provide patient education and support before and after procedures to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with hospital protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Adhere to all infection control policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain professional development by staying current with best practices in cardiac care and nursing.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois or compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with moderate sedation, patient monitoring, and cardiac procedures.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and respond to patient needs with professionalism and compassion.

Additional Information: This is a travel nursing opportunity with a 13-week contract, offering guaranteed hours and a competitive pay package. The schedule includes four 10-hour shifts with rotating days off. Call will be required one weekday per week and one weekend every four weeks
