Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients in various settings, including home community care and specialized clinics. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care tailored to their individual needs. Your expertise in areas such as infection control, anatomy knowledge, and familiarity with systems will be critical in delivering effective patient care.
Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including those specializing in ophthalmology and cardiac catheterization.
- Assist with durable medical equipment (DME) management as needed.
- Support travel nursing assignments when required, adapting to various healthcare environments.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Current LPN license in good standing.
- Experience in home community care or working within a Level I Trauma Center is preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
- Familiarity with infection control practices and ventilatory support techniques is advantageous.
- Previous experience in specialized fields such as ophthalmology or cardiac catheterization is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
